You know, it did not get any better right up to the end of the next day. I finally got a go ahead on Friday that we could shoot at the museum. They were still saying that the engineers might not stay after 5 pm. I needed to shoot in the dark and could not start until 5:30. We just plowed ahead and got things ready on Friday for the shoot on Saturday. Julene went out and got wardrobe, and I called Teri at Make-Up Magic to do the make-up. I got a call on Friday afternoon saying that two of the of the three couples could not make it, so Teri got Kerri Kasem to come with her boyfriend Jessie Kove. I had two couples at this point and had to make that do. Will Johnson was such a help as he brought the clothing for Jessie.
As it turned out, the engineer let us stay until 8 pm. Time was short, but we got some great images. I went home so exhausted. Julene is such a sport as we did nothing for Valentine’s except prep for the shoot.
I should have been a farmer. My grandfather was a farmer, and I should have been one, too. I do love what I do but don’t love the stress at times. I want to go back and shoot some more when we are better prepared and have the location and talent resolved. I want to go back.
Look for the lessons to come in the coming month. Combining LEDs with HMIs was shot at the train museum. Onward to the next thing. Life is always an adventure.
