This Rosco LitePad Vector is a powerful LED light. It is color balanced and has a frosted lens on the front of the LED so you get a nice, soft light, with 1700 Lux. You can use the LitePad Vector without a diffusor because of the softener already in place. The CCT version is color temperature controlled. The temperature and brightness of the light is changed with knobs on the back. It runs off of AC Power, an Anton/Bauer or a V-Mount battery pack. You can modify the light using a drop in grid or filter.
I love combining these with strobe for some ambient light fill. It’s also nice to be able to get these little lights into tight spots when you’re shooting. They are especially useful for interview setups. These run about a thousand dollars each. But for being able to completely control the color temperature and for the punch that it has, it’s a great value. They do have a three light kit you can purchase as well, either in the full daylight or the color temperature version. The LitePad Vector by Rosco is a home run all the way around.
Let me know in the comments what you think about LEDs. Where are they going? What do you love about them? What do you think they should be doing with LEDs? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
