Today on The Slanted Lens we’re reviewing a great little device called The Spider Monkey. It’s made by Spider Camera Holster and is a great accessory to their system. The Spider Monkey is a small clip that you can use to hang things like light meters and flashes to your Spider Holster. It comes with the clip that attaches to your belt or Spider Holster rig, and a small pin that attaches with an adhesive back to the piece of equipment you wish to carry on your belt. You can use the Spider Monkey on your pants belt or on the shoulder strap of a back pack. There are many uses for this device. The clip has a release on the top that keeps your equipment from slipping out. You simply push the release as you grab your equipment and out it comes. I love this because it’s a such a simple and effective way to attach accessories to my belt, Spider rig, or backpack. They are really quite inexpensive, costing about 20 dollars each. I think this is a clip that is worth looking at and figuring out how it will benefit you in your shooting process. I sure love them.
Keep those cameras rollin’ and keep on clickin’.
