Wireless Transmitters DON’T Have to Break the Bank!!! $

Hi this is Jay P Morgan and Kenneth Merrill.

Today we’ve got a sponsored review for you here from HOLLYLAND Tech which makes a great wireless solution for casting your HD or SD signal to your monitor.

A wireless signal is the way you should go. This is a very reasonable solution here; coming in at just under $700 dollars!

Really our first question here is, did it pair quickly?

When we plugged it in it was super easy. Turned both receiver and transmitter on and 5 second later, it was paired. And that’s the first place to start. You don’t want this to be an issue where it’s a problem to pair it. You can change the frequencies so that you have different options, so if you’re having some kind of interference you can change it to a new frequency.

It does say 400 feet, line of sight and that scared me a little bit at first, but honestly our desire is to see what this does not line of sight, because rarely do you have the monitor in your line of sight where you’re working with a camera.

I’ve got a few things we need done around the house here, so I’m going to send Kenneth out and I’ll be watching, doing my part here in the kitchen.

Now that he’s out at the pool, about 60’ and through 2 walls, there’s only a little bit of breakup.

Moving on to his next assignment, coming inside to scrub the toilet.

What’s really nice about this is that it also connects to your IOS Phone or your Andriod, you can see the signal and it pairs through the app, and you can see the signal on your phone.

This has 2 different receivers, so you can connect to 2 different monitors on your set.

So Kenneth has gone back there into the bathroom, everything is crystal clear, including the toilet!

Now he’s moving out front of the house to check the mail. Really, this says it has 400 feet of range in line of sight, but we’re still getting signal and he is out of the house, 150’ away down the street.

Now he’s moved a little further away I’m getting a little bit of static as he moves around. He’s moving over to check something in his car there.

This is definitely something you can set up in the other room and send the signal to a monitor in another room or outside and it would work fabulously!

Looking for coins in his car, we might have lost the signal due to the car.

Other than that, I’m looking at this signal and it’s been strong the entire time. There’s been a couple moments that it’s froze up a little bit, but it’s pretty impressive that it’s working that far away.

Wait, what is he doing? He’s not raking leaves; he’s racking the focus!!

“What were you doing with the leaves?!”

“I was raking them, like you asked!”

“Nice job spelling.”

Alright, so while you were gone, it broke up a couple times. It’ broke up in your car, and there is a large metal trailer between the car and here, so that makes sense. So occasionally it broke up a little bit, but for the most part it was clean the entire time you were going around.

My sense about it is, having it in line of sight is great, but it’s also going to work on set in a house or any building. It’s fair to be skeptical of products like this that are coming in 50% less than normal market value, but we’re highly impressed.

This product comes in a reliable industrial metal case so if you drop it once, you’re probably going to be okay! haha

One of these puts a signal out to 2 different monitors, 1 for focus puller, one for director is really common.
