Hey Christopher! Are you working on your target list of magazines or art directors? I didn’t see that on your PDF.
So here is what I have for you: You need your homepage to have a BIG image filling the space that will really excite your target list.
Choose 4-7 images to have on your homepage.
Your menu is overwhelming. There are a lot of links. Which do you think you need?
For your bio, we sadly need to lose the life story. I like it! But people don’t have enough time to read all of it. Let’s keep elements of it to put in the bio. but we need to lead with : Hello, I’m Christopher Malcolm. I am an award-winning fashion infused lifestyle and portrait photographer based in Los Angeles, California. My work has appeared in many of the world’s top publications, been used to promote brands both large and small, and his fine art prints have been shown at exhibitions from coast-to-coast.
I would be more specific about WHAT sets you apart from another photographer who does what you’re doing. I would give examples of some big brands and publications. I would then share something personal. Then I would tie it back and ask them to connect with you on instagram.
I love your self portrait. Let’s get an image on that contact page. A small sized one. Let’s also put social media icons on the left. I know they are on the bottom right, but we need to spoon feed people.
Hey Adelaide, thank you for having a look. I will try and tinker with it a little this week. As for the menu items to lose, I tend to have difficulty with that. I’ve had a fair amount of success in each of the areas listed, so it’s difficult to get rid of entire categories as I am known for them among different markets. I could probably take off Buy Prints and Bookstore as they are not major sources of ecommerce for me. My Instagram is also linked twice. Once on the left, since I figured that’s where the eye goes. But it’s also on the bottom social media panel as well.
