Product Review: SKB’s New iSeries w/ Think Tank Interior

August 24, 2017 By Morgan

Business Coaching Class The Slanted Lens Jay P Morgan

I am taking a quick look at SKB‘s new line of cases that include Think Tank interiors. These cases are fantastic and work perfectly for photography and video equipment. Let’s take a quick look at what makes these cases so great!

The Hybrid Case to End All Hybrid Cases

It seems that everyone is obsessed with hybrids these days, and after finding these cases so am I! In this new iSeries, SKB has combined their classic, hard cases with interior compartments designed by Think Tank. This means that you not only get the protection you expect from an SKB case, you also get a great storage layout within the case itself!

A Wide Variety of Case Options

This iSeries has a large variety of cases you can choose from based on your own preference. The 1309, for instance, is the smaller case that works really well for carrying things like lenses, batteries, and maybe a small laptop or iPad.

While I like the 1309, I love using the larger 2011 backpack case that they make. This case is one of my favorites to use. The outside is a standard roller case which is nice because you don’t have to carry it! But the real reward is that the inside is actually a backpack. I love this option because the hard exterior allows me the option to check it if needed, but once I get to my location I can pull the backpack out and have an added level of mobility.

Last but not least, and my personal favorite, is the 4213. This was originally designed to hold rocket launchers, so you have a guarantee that it is both sturdy and big enough to fit your needs! I can fit everything I need in this case. I can throw in some Bajas, my stands, cameras, lenses, LAVs, and so much more. It is a great piece of equipment!

Why SKB?

I love the SKB hard cases. They are durable, they are waterproof, and I never have to worry about taking them out on the road. Now that SKB has teamed up with Think Tank, these cases are better than ever. I highly recommend these products to anyone in the market for new cases, so check them out! Keep you gear safe so that you can continue doing what you love!

Keep those cameras rollin’ and keep on clickin’!
