This month’s Trends from the Trenches comes a week early because Lars is going to Salt Lake to shoot a movie. But don’t worry there’s still plenty to talk about!

Panasonic is coming out with 3 new cameras one of which is a DVX200 with 4K.

There’s a new site-http://canibringmyselfiestick.com/-that tells you where you can and can’t bring your selfie stick.

Flickr has increased their Pro accounts.

Taylor Swift and MPPA have made an agreement in which she has made some major concessions to her original photography contract.

Can embedding cameras in Rhino’s horns stop poaching? A British non-profit sure hopes so.

Leica has a new camera that goes back to their roots. It’s an on the street, organic camera with a fixed focal length.

The Revenant, the new Alejandro movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio is the first film that was shot completely on the Alexa 65.

Panasonic has a 3D Scanning Photo Booth that makes small statues of the person standing in there.

Nikon is coming out with several new lenses. An AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR,  an AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR, and an AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED.

Adobe is switching to only supporting Creative Cloud.
