Jay P and Lars are at Samy’s Camera in Pasadena for this month’s revamped Trends from the Trenches. To kick things off, the guys chat about a couple things on their minds and in the news including the new iPhone and its camera, the Red Dragon, and the forthcoming Arri Amira. Ken, from Samy’s Pro department, joins Jay P and Lars in the second half with some new items to show and talk about.
In upcoming segments, Jay P and Lars are joined by Jason, one of Samy’s camera experts, to talk about 4K (and not-so-4K) cameras. Jason has the Sony A7s, Panasonic GH4, and Sony’s new FZ1000 to touch on the pros and cons of each. In the third segment, Harold Sweet from the Fairfax location discusses just a few of the different helicopter rigs available on the market today.
