Wedding Photography – How to Stand Out, with SLR Lounge

Hi this is Jay P. Morgan and today I’ve got a special treat for you. A recent article in Vogue entitled, “The 10 Wedding “Rules” to Break,” made the claim that wedding photographers were unnecessary in this day and age of “Facebook albums and Instagram hashtags.” This made a lot of photographers understandably angry, so I called on Pye Jirsa, co-founder of SLR Lounge and Lin and Jirsa Photography, to discuss whether couples would indeed be better served by relying on photographs taken with “disposable cameras” scattered “around the party” and letting “your drunken guests go to town”. Pye is most definitely an expert on the subject- Lin and Jirsa was named one of the Top 100 Wedding Photographers in the US by BRANDSMASH, and voted Best Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles by MyFoxLa. You may be surprised to hear that Pye actually agrees with Vogue. Watch and see why.

After watching this one you’ll want to head over and subscribe to SLR Lounge’s channel as well, they’ll be hosting another episode between he and I next week. SLR Lounge has lots of great tutorials and articles on a range of different topics. I really enjoyed sitting down and talking to Pye.

Thanks for watching and remember, keep those cameras rollin’ and keep on clickin’.

Sorry I had to miss the webinar yesterday evening, my internet went down for the third time this week. Will there be a re-broadcast of the webinar?
