Hey Guys, I’m currently using the Canon MK3 for photos and some video b-roll. I also do video work. For that, I use the Canon C100 mk2. I do portrait work, some weddings, and corporate stuff.

You asked us to advise what camera systems we owned. I have the Canon 5DMk3 and 70D with L lens, and bought into the Fuji x series after purchasing Fuji 100T as a walk around camera (love it), believing I would sell off Canon spare lens. But even though I love the light weight, colour and novelty of the Fuji XT-1, I fall back on Canon for any occasion where I would like fast focus and weight isn’t important. As I have the Canon 70-200F2.8 and F4 (favourite lens) and 100-400 lens, I have not bought Fuji 50-140 or Fuji 100-400 lens. Also I’ll keep the Canon for specialty lens i.e. lens baby and tilt & shift. Also the Canon speedlite 600RX system with the on camera transmitter is so easy to use. I do a little paid work but am essentially a keen hobbyist.
I’m not into video in a big way and use the 70D with touch screen. Regards Angie

I just love your show!!!! I have one suggestion, from an old video shooter, Since you mentioned you have three cameras on set, They probably don’t have tally lights. When on a close up maybe have someone stand there and point to the close up camera when you want to record that shot, Or as we say in the studio, the hot camera. You could also bring that close up camera further over to one side, if you’re only using it as cut a way, it will be a better looking profile and cut better in editing. If you can’t move the close up camera father over, then have it right next to the wide camera. That close up will also cut better.with the wide shot I assume the background is green screen? Do you have a small break-a-way green wall? If you do, place it to the side of the main green screen for that profile shot. I only make these suggestions because you and Lars are looking into the camera, news style. Not complaining however, the show looks great! I assume you’re on a very tight budget. McDonalds Egg McMuffins hooray! I heard a voice off camera at the end of the November show. “They could be a floor director!” I know it’s a tiny crew, maybe two people? Just some suggestions. No complaints!
You asked your audience to tell you which cameras we use. I use several; I own the BMD URSA and URSA Mini cameras. My DSLR’s are Canon 5D’s & a Nikon 750. I frequently rent the Sony F-55 and Red Epic and borrow my friends Sony F-7. when needed. I have a running complaint with BMD about the URSA., I love the video but upset that they still haven’t released the turret upgrades, 2 years! They told me the turrets will be available after this quarter. If not, I’m selling that URSA and getting the Canon 300 M ll.
